When I Started Performing: 9 years old.
Performing Arts Background: I graduated from Juilliard with a bachelor's degree in violin performance. I credit my passion for performance to the exposure I had to multiple performing art disciplines (dance, music, drama) and the incredibly talented students I had the privilege of learning from.
How did your performing arts background supercharge your entrepreneurship? Although being an entrepreneur implies working for yourself you have to know how to work with others in order to succeed. The same goes for being trained as a classical violinist. You're trained to learn all the virtuosic concertos but when it comes to performing, even the soloist must learn how to work with the accompanying musicians to present an incredible performance together. My toughest and most memorable musical experiences happened in ensemble settings and mostly during rehearsals where personalities, creative opinions, and raw emotions could come to a head - resulting in beautiful or disappointing music making. I believe what I learned then has helped me become a better entrepreneur.
Favorite Performer: Currently Daniel Brühl (actor), Mishay Petronelli dancing any of Dana Foglia's choreography.
